Spybot is a program that will search a computer for spyware. Spyware can alter computer configurations, collect personal information, display pop-ups, and much more.

Look for the following icon on the computer’s Desktop:

Double click the icon to start the Spybot program.

Click the Check for problems button:

Once the program has started – a progress bar will appear in the left hand corner of the screen:

Once Spybot has scanned the computer, a list of Spyware will be displayed.

The next step is to click the Fix Selected Problems button:

Spybot will then display the following message:

Click the Yes button to proceed.

A Spybot confirmation window will show how many problems were repaired:

Click the OK button.

Spybot should be used at least once a week.
