Barracuda Spam Quarantine Report
In October 2007, Samford implemented a new system to filter spam email and improve the ability to catch viruses attached to incoming email. This product is called Barracuda Spam Quarantine
Report. Spam messages and email with viruses will be held in quarantine for one week. Several times a week, email users will receive an email report that gives a list of questionable email. It's important to check this list as messages that aren't spam can get caught.
You can get to your spam list by logging in at: http://spam.samford.edu
To release a quarantined email, click the release link next to the email:
The spam messages may be delivered, whitelisted, or deleted.
To open the spam list in a browser, click the click here link at the bottom of the spam report email:
Emails from senders that are not spam occasionally will appear in the quarantined list. These emails should be released from the list. To release a message, click the Deliver link.
The sender may be added to a list of trusted addresses by clicking the Whitelist link.
To delete all messages, click the link at the bottom of the Spam Quarantine email next to "view your entire quarantine inbox or manage your preferences box". A browser will open to display the full quarantine list. To delete all messages, check the box next to Time Received and then click the Delete button.
